Frequently asked questions

Do credits expire?
No. Credits purchased on KodaAPI never expire. Your balance carries forward indefinitely until used.
What happens when my credits run out?
API requests will return a 402 Payment Required error until you top up. Your API key remains valid — just add more credits to resume.
Can I use one key for multiple projects?
Yes. Your API key works across all models and projects. You can track usage by model or time period in the dashboard.
How are input and output tokens counted?
KodaAPI uses the same token counting as the underlying provider. The usage object in each API response includes prompt_tokens (input) and completion_tokens (output) so you can verify the deduction.
Are there volume discounts?
Yes — larger packages include bonus credits automatically (10%–40%). For custom pricing at high volume, email hello@kodaapi.com.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit cards, debit cards, and other payment methods supported by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not accept cryptocurrency at this time.
Can I get a refund?
Unused credits may be eligible for a refund within 14 days of purchase. See our Refund Policy for full details.
